Judging Results
Medal / Award
Judge 1Rich, ripe and toasty - vanillin oak sits above the fruit. Plush, bumped up by oak sweetness, but lovely supple tannin structure. Oak lingers.
Judge 2Oak dominates the nose to the extent varietal characters struggle to show through. Oak follows through to the palate. Judicious oak use would be recommended.
Judge 3Slightly 'blocky' dry red that could use more drive; tannins are pronounced
Associate Judgefull ruby red, vibrant fruits/sweet mocha oak. plush red/dark fruits, ripe oak tannins, balanced.
