Rich, ripe and toasty - vanillin oak sits above the fruit. Plush, bumped up by oak sweetness, but lovely supple tannin structure. Oak lingers. |
Oak dominates the nose to the extent varietal characters struggle to show through. Oak follows through to the palate. Judicious oak use would be recommended. |
Slightly 'blocky' dry red that could use more drive; tannins are pronounced |
full ruby red, vibrant fruits/sweet mocha oak. plush red/dark fruits, ripe oak tannins, balanced. |
