Judging Results
Medal / Award Bronze
Judge 1 Candied fruit showing development and age. Good varietal notes and definition considering the age and nice to drink.
Judge 2 Riper, perhaps some botrytis giving yellow and orange fruit character, apricot etc. Ginger, lychee, Alsatian profile. Dry, with a little extract, perhaps a little RS would give some generosity? Alcohol warm on the finish as the wine comes up in temperature.
Judge 3 Fresh apricot and grapefruit citrus aromas. Sulphur reduction. Burst of sweetness on the mid palate. Drops away quickly - lacks acid balance
Associate Judge Full straw, ripe apricot notes, some spice, medium bodied, good palate weight, plush fruit, lacking some freshness- acid finishes hard
