Judging Results
Medal / Award Bronze
Judge 1 Sweet oak spice and lots of it - vanilla and coconut. Juicy mulberry, raspberry fruit. Palate just can't quite handle the oak. Nice texture and fruit underneath.
Judge 2 Cedar oak character is a little excessive and leads to a dry planky finish on palate. Nice spice and fruit underneath but oak is letting the wine down.
Judge 3 Oak masking fruit flavours. Pushes the wine through on the palate, holds minimal fruit.
Associate Judge 4EP, herbal, dusty. Dried red berry fruits and herbs on palate. Complexing 4EP. Tannins still okay. Savoury.
