International Judge’s Wine to Watch |
high alcohol on nose, meaty, sweet spice, overpowering oak, big and not in great balance |
Deep red, ripe black olive, tapenade, beef jerky spice, viscosity, alcohol, layers, ripe tannins, heat on finish. Ripe fruit but well made, oak aligns. Needs food |
Dense purple black. Concentrated iodine, red ink. (Is there a waxy character there?) Woodsy. Dense, tannic palate. Coating tannins. Maybe tannins excessive for weight. |
dark red, great concentration of cooked starwberries in syrup, meaty, fleshy, very masculine mid body, game, great tannin, dark chocolate finish |
