Sourced from a single vineyard on the Barossa Valley floor. The grapes were picked and crushed to a small stainless steel fermenter where after three days on skins fermenting, they were fortified on skins. The spirit used was predominantly neutral, with a small amount of brandy spirit used to add complexity. Matured in 10yo French Hogsheads for 12 months, the wine was then immediately bottled after bringing out of oak.
Inspired by the Portugese VPs - balance, textured and a relatively dry, fruit driven finish. A style that can be enjoyed immediately or aged for a significant period. |
