bold and brambly, touch woody, raspy woody tannins carry the palate, sweet finish
dark cherry and some attractive meaty notes on the nose - slightly gamey in an interesting and complexing way. Touch of violet lift. Slightly more full bodied and serious than many in the class - quite ripe but with the appropriately balanced acid and tannins. Good length. Slightly chunky but pleasingly so.

savoury edge to nose, broody, extracted, bit green and astringent on finish

Ripe, powerful, structured style. Acid, oak, fruit and savoury edge are all competing a bit here. Feels unresolved.
