slightly brown colour, really nice wine, variety is not very well defined, complaex, great tannins, gravel, tar, handbag characters, perfume etc
tomato bush, showing a lot of development. fruit has fallen away.
2016 dank bright plums and cedar laced plums still fresh with the beginnings of meat and leather - upfront mid palate fruit with tannins that falls short
Certainly seems to be showing some age in terms of appearance and aromatics, as well as some serious barrel work and a warm climate/vintage. Expressive but missing a bit of weight and texture, fruit looks a bit overripe, alcohol looks a bit clunky.
