lovely familiar flow of expression, acidity and phenolics through the wines. |
a great line up of Fiano, displaying the ability of this variety to age gracefully. Lovely line of acidity flows thru these wines, with attractive lemon pith/rind, and elderflower. |
Look at a line up like this and wonder why we didn't jump on then Fiano train sooner. A really strong trio that link up beautifully to tell a compelling story. The older wine retains great freshness and zip while putting on some attractive middle age waxiness, the younger wine beautifully taut and impactful |
W1: lemon curd, lemon balm, wax. Balanced, fresh acidity and almond kernel, lovely development and still has some way to go. W2: nutty lees, apple flesh. Palate is textured and more phenolic, roasted lemon, mid weight, nice conc. W3: balanced lees, lovely intensity on the palate, saline stoniness and lemon pith, apple flesh |
