milk chocolate and blood plum , textural and layered palate , a robust wine expressing the variety
Concentrated color. First note is fruits macerated in spirits (plum/prune/cherry). Sweet baking spices and violet extract. Overly lush, pushing the wine too much with concentrated fruits, firm tannins (oak and grape) burnt rubber on the finish
Oak at the fore aromatically which blankets the fruit a bit. Blackberry, black plum and a dusty oak nuance. Vibrant fruit soaks up the oak on the palate, blackberry, blueberry, bramble. Quite full in body with firm sinewy tannins and a wash of acid bringing freshness to the finish.
Lifted new oak, cherry ripe, chocolate, solid fruit weight and dry finish
