The addition of some nice spirit and we have the makings of a decent fortified. The fruit's just a touch too fruitcakey and the acid a little lacking for table wine here.
Sour cherry pie, lots of baking spices and gumnut like stemminess. A wine of confusion there is a lack of cohesion and harmony between fruit, structure and winery decisions.
M+ bright ruby. Christmas pudding! Raisins but with more depth, other candied fruits. Rich raisined middle, fresh M acidity, soft cleansing tannin finish
Fruit cake, sweet spice, desiccated. Palate is a bit disjointed. Don't appreciate interaction between fruit, tannins and acid.
