varnishy oak , savoury palate ok with out great interest
Concentrated in color; touch reserved aromas at first. Blackberry juice, concentrated black plum, savory and sweet spice and loaded with floral notes. Rich and mouthfilling - plum skin, jam, dried and burnt sage giving way to oolong tea and firm tannins. Touch bitter not on the finish.
Intriguing aromas off the bat with a fennel see/aniseed kick, followed by a melding of salted meat and plum. There's some oak chew to the palate, sitting around plum, dark cherry and a meaty note again. Sinewy tannins and fresh acid bringing good length.
Black forest cake, pine needle, dill. a bit simple, firm tannins finish
