Judging Results
Medal / Award Bronze
Judge 1 Ripe and sweet fruited. Apricot kernel and spice.. richer and riper. Oak a little weetbix cereal like and cloying to finish?
Judge 2 Pale gold in the glass, this wine smells of unripe apple, lemongrass and citrus pith. In the mouth, lemongrass, pear, and grapefruit zest have a zingy, almost spicy brightness thanks to excellent acidity. There's also a bit of aromatic sweetness here that is quite pretty. Silky but with an underlying stoniness.
Judge 3 savoury nutty honey developed notes with some oak. richer riper style with a touch of sweetness but nicely balanced with phenolics and not over done
Associate Judge nectarine, riper stone fruits, toast, slight flint waxy, textual, nice depth but shot on the acid drive
