Judge 2A really nice bracket. Evolution poised and even. Textural interest and balance throughout. A rich style of fruit with poise and composure. Becomes a little broad and disjointed with air.
Judge 3Bracket looking generally youthful. Has some herbals and lanolin, juicy core of fruit. Showing consistent style. Has richness. Oldest wine slightly cracked to finish and RS showing through.
Judge 4Firm with some reduction that impacts the palate W1. Wines improve as they warm in the glass. Roasted nut and honeycomb in W3. Wines are briny and creamy, with enough freshness.
Associate JudgeLifted sweet florals on youthful wine. Slightly simple confected characters. Pear drop. Palate feels fresh, with good drive and balance. Moderately aged wine feels more subdued ont he nose, palate feels a little more disjointed as freshness takes a back seat. A more honied lift dominated mature wine palate, waxy nectar. Winemaking NoteWe always ferment our Fiano in Stainless Steel tanks with bottling taking place as close as possible to the end of ferment. Our approach is to 'let the fruit be the hero' and consequently there is minimal intervention in the winemaking process.
