delicate, floral, lifted aromatics, some phenolics at back, lingering line. b. slight toasty, moving to secondary, has line, acidity, in between stages, crunchy. c. slightly restrained, starting to crackle slightly, lemon butter, citrus peel some nutty notes.hint of astringency.. LOvely bracket of wines, with freshness, and subtle handling of fruit. |
Evolution of style and variety consistent and evident. A little broad, perhaps. Textural integrity. Poised. Lovely phenolic composure and restraint. |
Lovely consistency and youthfulness across the bracket. All show freshness and waxy lanolin. Good chew. Has interest and tension in all wines. |
Youngest wine youthful indeed, some green bean. W2 a little rubbery. Moderate intensity, green pineapple and some honey/hazelnut on the older wines. Bitter almond finish. W3 interesting - evolved in a quiet way |
Subtle nose of alpine herbs and lime zest. Palate feels fresh with some wet stone notes. Cucumber and fennel. Briney waxy character has entered moderately aged wine, but mouth feel is really lovely and resolved, rounded, has improved with age. Preserved lemons. More mature wine has maintained great freshness and poise. V.integrated. Baked apple crumble. |
