Judging Results
Medal / Award Bronze
Judge 1 Liquorice. Nice interplay of fruit and savoury spice. Lovely vibrancy. Varietal question?
Judge 2 Medium ruby in the glass, this wine smells of faintly earthy cherry and strawberry fruit. In the mouth, tannins fill every nook and cranny of the mouth, but remain supple and muscular as cherry and earth flavors linger with oak and green herbs in the finish. Good acidity keeps things fresh. There's just too much oak here, which eventually dominates the wine.
Judge 3 Sweet lactic red cherry sauce. Nice density modern style with limited savoury grip
Associate Judge bright red and dark cherries, ripe fruit and spice - acid in balance with ripeness of fruit. softer structure but holds itself well.
