10.a bright, fresh, some depth, pear skin, lemon drop, stonefruit.. b. more acidity, slight cracking, lemon butter on toast, waxy, fuller with acid, oily c.holding well, fresh line, waxy lemon, has vibrancy, balanced |
Varietal consistency. Cheesey lees element throughout. Phenolic extract perhaps slightly higher in younger wine. Age worthy varietal, though a little hot and blousy with years. |
Bracket shows texture and chew. Older wines slightly cracked? Middle wine is the weak link here. Creamy mid and has some interest. |
The older two wines showing more marked but positive development. Youngest wine full flavoured and viscous. Older wines progressively more grilled nut, bacon fat richness. Oldest wine just starting to dry out a bit |
Nice bright characters on nose, youthful wine has good freshness on palate with nice extract and texture. Moderately aged wine looks good with some honied nougat characters, whilst maintaining good acidity and freshness. Oldest wine becomes more subdued on palate but acid and drive remain persistent, primary fruit evolved to waxy chamomile characters. Feels like old semillon. |
