Medal / Award Bronze
Overall Score 85
Judge 1 dried herbs, tannin, structured, savoury
Judge 2 xmas cake nose and dense oak. ripe fruited, dark choc, guinness fruit cake. touch warm on nose. palate ripe, a bit chewy and blocky, lacks varietal expression. However, acid offers a fresh breeze and there's some charm to the opaque nature of this wine. Will have fans.
Judge 3 Deep plummy maroon. Aromatics a touch developed, hint of soy, not overly effusive. Some lavender maybe. Palate is round, soft, easygoing. Not very long. Good for a glass certainly.
Associate Judge Saline and slightly reductive, maybe Barnyardy. Palate is a little dilute in the centre. It finishes gently but the acid maybe a little overt.
