savoury and fragrant fruit driven, some structure, white pepper, good phenolic structure
lightly toasted white gum honey, preserved lemon and pithy salinity and dry fried spice. mouth filling, exciting spice and bitter herbal notes that intrigue rather than distract. lingers.
Mid warm straw. Flowers-dying-in-vase florals, wilting lilies. Palate mid weight and nice flow of fruit, but those browning off lily florals are somewhat overpowering. Bit of palate reduction in there too.
Very shy nose to begin although has woken up with a subtle musky, rose talc. Palate is salty and saline and quite gentle. There is a slightly pokey acid/phenolic balance on the finish, but I appreciate the length.
