Cedar, pencil shavings, blackberry. The palate tapers quickly to dry, dusty tannins which carry some austere restraint, finishing on dried plum.

Inky dark maroon. Slightly bilgey old oak note over macerated dark fruits. Pleasantly rich and ripe though.

Big vanilla oak nose, lacking fruit concentration on palate - has leesy cheese instead.
