intensity of aroma and fruit weight, some sweetness at the end, layered tannin throughout the palate, chalky, chewy finish
Bright straw. Lees, nuts, clove, cinnamon spice - oak and lees use. Tightly wound, structured. Orange citrus, melon nicely compact. Smoke, and a lick of reduction hems the wine really well.
Oak smothering varietal aromatics and a little too strong in oak acid and sweetness on the palate. Nice but lacking varietal purity.
Gooseberry, nettle, lovely pure palate. Finishes long with a very succulent acid.
