Some colour. Complex savoury, smoky and biscuity notes. Grainy phenolics adding texture. Mid-weight. A note of astringency on the end. More about texture than fruit.
Some colour, indicative of skins or bottle age. More developed aromatics so it's age. Nose has some dried rose petal & straw but not the lifted freshness that makes the variety charming. Palate is clean, some aged characters, not unpleasant bitterness.
Medium gold with a reductive nose of struck match & burnt rubber, the palate has texture, more of a fruit component - peach, cooked apricot - but finishes on the smoky flavour it started with.
smoky, sweaty reduction on nose. phenolic coarse, some unpleasent oxydative character on palate. short finish, wine unbalanced
