Overall Score 95
Judge 1 deep dark brown with a golden hue, molasses aromas, aged, complex, unctuous, sweet caramel, syrupy with great persistence of flavour
Judge 2 hot on the nose. real umami, burnt toast caramel note. roast parsnip, dried herbs. palate heated spice. almost chilli like. fades off the palate quickly, with glycerol notes lingering.
Judge 3 med brown colour, light yellow edge. burnt leather, smoked meat, very tertiary with med plus intensity. good intensity of leather and smoked meat followed with a whack of caramel sweetness. very sweet, but the tertiary characters balance out.
Associate Judge caramel, toffee, aged, dried raisin, but more dominant in roasted caramel, hint of vegemite like, it seem to be dropped in acidity as aged
